Options to enter in Physics in india!

Here we bring a blog which inform you about few of available options with fellowship in India to pursue physics in India.

XI-XII Class Students:

KVPY:
You have to appear in written test and followed by an interview. After cracking this, you get 5000-7500 per month for your college studies in physics and other science subjects. You also get chance to do a summer research in national institutes or lab every year. Detail : http://www.kvpy.org.in
INSPIRE Scholarship:
Selection for this scholarship is through your performance in Class XII board exam. You need to be in top 1% of your board. IF you scored well and cross the cutoff of top1%, then you are selected for this. In this you get, 60000 per annum as scholarship for pursuing BSc &MSc in basic sciences.

Admission in IISERs for BS-MS Dual degree:
If you have qualified JEE advanced or you are KVPY Scholar or you are in top 1% in your boards, you can get admissions in one of the five IISERs. You will get 5000 per month + 20000 per annum for summer research plus hostel and many more facilities. For detail : http://www.iiser-admissions.in/

Admission in IITs for Int. MSc or 4 Year BSc.:
If you have qualified JEE advanced then you can get admissions in one of the IITs for Int. MSc. or 4 year BS. You will get 5000 per month + 20000 per annum for summer research plus hostel and many more facilities.

Admission in NISER and CBS-DAE at University of Mumbai for Int. MSc :
You have to qualify the written exam NEST to get admission in National Institutes of Science Education and Research- Bhubaneshwar and Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences of Department of Atomic Energy at University of Mumbai to get admission in 5 ear Int. MSc. You will get 5000 per month + 20000 per annum for summer research plus hostel and many more facilities. For detail : http://www.nestexam.in

BSc-MSc. Students:

CSIR NET JRF Physical Sciences:
You have to give a written exam. If you are selected in this, you will eligible for doing PhD/Int.PhD in any national level institute(Interview may be required for admission) and you will also receive 25000-28000 per month fellowship for pursuing PhD & 20000 per annum as contingency grant.

SPMF:
If you are in top 12 ranks in CSIR JRF, then you are eligible to apply for this. You receive 33000-38000 per month for pursuing PHD in national level institute. You also get 70000 per annum as contingency grant.

GATE Physics:
After cracking this test, you are eligible to appear in interview for PhD at IITs and other national level institutes. You also receive fellowship 25000- 28000 per month for your PhD.

INSPIRE Fellowship:
1) If you are first ranker in your master degree in your university then you are eligible for this fellowship.

OR
2) If you are INSPIRE Scholar during your BSC and MSC and you have scored more than 65%, then also you are eligible for this fellowship. Facilities and fellowship amounts are same as CSIR JRF. JEST:
After cracking this test, you are eligible to appear in interview for PhD/Int. PhD at HRI, IISERs, IMSc and other national level institutes. You receive same or more facility as CSIR-JRF (Depends on joining Institute).

TIFR GS :
Tata institute of Fundamental Science and Research organizes a written exam plus interview to select students for PhD and Int. PhD program every year. You will get 25000-30000 per month as fellowship and 20000 as annual contingency,

IIT JAM:
This exam is conducted by IITs for admissions in MSc /Int. PhD at various IITs, IISERs and IISc Banglore.

Summer Research:
Various national level institutes and Indian Academy of Sciences offer summer research fellowship for BSc 2nd to final year student of MSc. You have to apply for that. If you get short-listed , You get a chance to do a summer research with 5000-15000 per month as fellowship and travel support.
